Cute Kitty

Hi All, I am having a hard time getting out of the holiday mode. I have a lot of house cleaning and I still haven't seen all of the family I need to see and finish handing out gifts. But I also have a lot of birthdays this month also and didn't want a christmas looking birthday card so here are some old whippersnapper cat, mouse, and fishe bones for a great birthday card and the card layout is a simple one that you could incorporate any of your small stamps with. Thanks for stopping and I will be talkin to ya soon. If there is anything you want me to work on an idea for just drop me an email line or a post to this card and I will get working on it right away.

Reindeer Poop!

OMG! I can't believe it's almost Christmas. 7 days away people. I must admit that it really snuck up on me this year. I am completely not ready. And now it turns out that I will have people over on Christmas day. I didn't get my cookies or my candy made this year. I am a little out of sorts this year. So I apologize for the delay in posting on the blog also. Thanks for sticking with me and checking it out. Please keep visiting. I promise to get more organized. Happy Holidays Everyone!

Holiday Greetings

This is a different color skeem for me. Pinks! She came out cute though. Let me know what you think of my blog layout change. I am playing with the blog trying to see what I can do with it. I'm still learning.

Christmas Gift card holder

I found this card idea from last years stuff and I am not sure where I originally found it but I think it was on SCS. It measures 4 x 12
On the 12 inch side I scored it at 4 inches on each end. Now you have 3 sections that are 4 inch sections. Fold the middle in half in the opposite direction of the other folds. It is really simple. If you need more instruction email me.

12 days of Christmas

This is my beginning poem for my Secret Santa, 12 days of Christmas. This usually helps explain what we are doing in a cute little poem. I just did it two different ways to show you. My favorite is the Darcie Moose.

Riley for the Holidays

I am finally able to do some uploading of new stuff to my blog. I am sorry it took so long. I had two classes at the store this past week and was working a few more hours than originally planned but the classes are now done and I am able to post some new stuff.
This is my newest member to my stamp family. Of course it's a Riley in his PJ's. I don't know if you can read the stamp but it says "Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse" and I crossed out mouse and wrote Moose. PERFECT.
Gotta Love him.

Winter candy box

Happy Friday Everyone! Sorry it has taken me a little while to blog but I have a lot of projects that I am working on at the moment and there isn't enough time in a day for me to get everything finished. I have 2 secret santa projects, 2 classes at the store, a stamp camp project, and I have to finish up a few of my christmas cards. But don't worry I will be posting some of the projects as I complete them.
This is a cute box that I stuck test tube in filled with candy and biscotti. These make great teacher gifts, office gifts, mailman gifts, you name it. You can fill them with any number of great candies. I made the box out of acetate but you can buy clear boxes pretty cheap at Clearbags.com Now that I know this these are a lot easier to do. lol

I am Back

I am back from my 13 hour trip to missouri to visit with family for the holiday. I think I am more stressed now than when I left but I did manage to get a little creativity back. I looked at some of my old card ideas from years ago and remembered doing tea bag folding and other types of folding with squares. Well now that I have a cuttlebug I used the scalloped squares instead and what a difference it made in the look of the christmas tree.

This card is full of sparkle that you can't really see with pictures I have one picture with flash and one without. If you need to know how I did these just leave a comment or give me an email. I don't mind and would love to hear from you. These are very easy and quick cards you could whip out a bunch in no time. I will be having a class on these cards at the store on Dec. 13th for those in my area.
Thanks for stopping by I will have more I am working hard.

Ho Ho Ho

I had fun with him. I took the Whipper Snapper lion and put the hat from the whipper snapper santa face. I combined two stamps to get this. The holly is Darcie from one of the sets. The Paper is Heidi Grace. She has some of my favorite holiday papers this year and last year.
Of course I added some bling on the scallop punched bottom. That is a Martha Stewart punch. Must say I like this one. Hope you do to.

Birthday Gray Hare

I needed a cute birthday card and nothing is cuter than whipper snapper stamps. I used stickles on the bubbles to make them look soapy. The picture isn't the best but the white paper is embossed with the cuttles bug I am still working on a good area of the house to take pictures. Bare with me.

Rubberstamp Tapestry

This is another Tapestry set. These make very simple cards in a short amount of time. Beginner stampers can't go wrong with these sets. I used a coluzzle to cut out the oval shapes.
I am going to be going out of town to visit my sister for the holiday. We leave tuesday. I will try to get in one more posting before I leave but I have had a lot of running around to do. I don't come back until late saturday night. She lives in Missouri and it is a 13 hour drive. Love seeing her but I hate the drive. But hopefully I will come back refreshed and ready to get back to my stamping. See everyone soon.

Noel

I made this card using the Rubberstamp Tapestry peg set. I call these stamps the goof proof stamps. You can not possibly make a mistake because if you do you just stamp over it. This is a process of stamping over what you have already stamped. You just keep on layering until you are satisfied. And you don't have to layer a lot. Just a little bit goes a long way.
When the stamped image is complet then I add some stickles (which is a type of glitter glue) it really adds that extra something. These are some of the quickest cards you can make. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Thanks for stopping by.

just chillin

This card was an extra I made when I did my class. I really have to learn how to count. I made 11 cards when I needed 10.

This was a very simple card. The stamp is whippersnapper. The background is one of the cuttlebug embossing folders that I used. Very simple and very appropriate for the kind of weather we are having here today. So it's the perfect time to catch up on my blogging.

12 days of Christmas

Here is a great idea for anyone who wants to be a secret santa and or has a special someone whom they would like to do the 12 days of Christmas for. The gifts can be whatever you wish. Mine were inexpensive and I created little poems for each gift and put the poem on gift tags like these.
Here is a sample poem:
On the first day of Christmas,
Here's something for your tree.
To let you know you're thought of,
with love from our family.
The gift is an ornament for the tree. I have created over 24 different poems so if you decide to do the same family two years in a row they don't get the same poems each year. This has been a lot of fun for us. If you have any questions on this please feel free to leave a comment or email me at cardlady@roadrunner.com Thanks for stopping.

Snow Friends

For all of you gals that take my classes here is a sneak peak at one of the cards that we will be making this saturday in class. Again my pictures, I don't think do a great job showing off the colors in the card.
If you haven't signed up yet you better hurry because the space is almost full. If you can't make it but would like a kit just let me know so that I can cut up the kit the same time I'm getting ready for class.
Happy Stamping/Card Making!!!

Christmas gift

This is a gift I am working on for one of my cousins. She got married in september and I figured I would make her a scrapbook of the shower and wedding for a christmas gift. So this is a page from the scrapbook and the other thing is a picture cube. I can use it as a small gift box or she can keep it on a dresser or desk and put little nick nacks in it. I think it came out good so far but I have a long way to go with the scrapbook. If I could just find some extra time somewhere. lol

Seasons Eatings

This is a card from my las card class for those of you who couldn't make it. My next class is Nov. 15th that's a saturday at 11:00am until you finish. I don't like to rush people.
This card really looks better in person. The holly paper is by doodlebug and it's flocked. I put crystal laquer on the little mouses candy to make it look more like candy.
Thanks for stopping by. I am working on some christmas projects that I will be posting soon once I have an once of spare time to finish them. lol But I promise they will be coming soon.

Holiday Baking

Riley has some holiday muffins piping hot just for you. I thought that this was a really cute card to send along with some homemade muffins. I just have to figure out a creative way to decorate a container to put the muffins in.
I am still trying to figure out how to put all the fun things on my blog but I am learning and getting a little more each time. So thanks for stopping by and please keep checking back.

Warm Wishes

This card came out a little dark in the photo but it was done in light blues and a medium blue for the cardstock. I am still working on trying to find a better area for taking my photos of the cards. I can't use a flash because they become totally washed out looking and you see no detail. So I do them without the flash but sometimes they are a little darker than what the card colors really are.
Hang in there with me I will get it right sooner or later. The card looks very elegant in person and it was really easy to do.

Witchy treats

I wanted to make this witch a card but the card always ended up to tall because of the hat so I used the milk carton idea and created a witchy treat container. She was really simple because it was all made with punches. So if your looking for a really quick treat container try this one.

Smiles

Sorry, It has been a little while since I have posted to my site I have had a VERY BUSY week and it isn't done yet. My days are so screwed up that I can't remember what day it is and I scheduled 3 different things on one day. DUH I am a little better now. But I have a class at the store that I work and I am still getting my cards ready for that. Hopefully it will calm down soon.

Since I needed a little smile today I made this card to wet everyones whistle a little but as soon as my class is done I will post my favorite cards from the class. So please check back. Thanks for stopping by. Happy stamping everyone.

Mini Scrapbook

This was such a fun project. You can really load this up with all sorts of photos or sayings. There are just so many places to include things that is seems like the never ending mini album. I tried to show what the inside looks like. It may look complicated but it really isn't. There is only 4 main parts for the entire book, then you just decorate it however you wish. I'm not finished with mine this is just the body I still have to add pictures and embellishments. This will be a great gift for someone special. If you would like to know how to make this email me at cardlady@roadrunner.com I will be glad to share the measurements with you.

Halloween Hugs

The Greeting is from Inky Antics The bat punch is from Michaels and of course the cute little ghost is a Whipper Snapper. The papers are the new reminisce line for fall.

Season's Eatings

Again I wish my photos did the cards justice but they don't show the sparkle from the stickles and the shimmer from the reminisce paper. The Whippersnapper stamp is still cute as can be. As everyone know I colored them with prisma pencils and blended with Gamsol. That is my favorite way to shade. Seasons Eatings came from Art Gone Wild Stamps, Please feel free to leave me comments after each card and you can ask me questions on how I did that.

It's a Moose

Hi everyone. Just received some of my Hanna stamps and I love them. Well anyone who knows me knows I love Moose. And Hanna has Riley Moose. They are the absolute cutest guys and girls I have ever seen and very reasonably priced.
Also just had to say that I am a member of ChemoAngels. A very worth while group that tries to bring a little smile to the rough lives of people going through cancer treatments. I send handmade cards to my assigned buddy every week to help keep her mind off of what she has to go through every day with her treatments. I hope my cards bring a smile to her face.

Just Because

I was playing around with the big cupcake stamp (stamps by Judith) and the little cupcakes (whippersnapper) and decided to make a card that would work for any occasion. I took the picture with and without the flash. This is the one without because the one with washed out all the colors and made it look funny.
I do all my coloring with colored prisma pencils and Gamsol. I get my best shading results.
I am lucky I have had any time to stamp and make cards because I have been dealing with chipmunks storing their nuts in the engine of my vehicles. You wouldn't believe how many they can store in just one night. I drive the car every day it's not like it just sits for long periods of time. Unbelievable. Normally I love all animals but they are starting to irritate me a little bit.
I need them to stop so I can get back to making cards.

This was a really fun card to make. The background paper I of course made by chalking the circles, both the positive and the negative, and stamping the snowflakes. The adorable snowman came from the Whipper Snapper snowman quartet. The saying is from Penny Black.

It's hard to see but I also used stickles glitter glue to add some sparkle to the snowflakes and around the snowman.

I have to admit I get a lot of use out of the snowman quartet stamp. It can be used many different ways. I stamped the image once but cut it apart and made 2 cards out of it. Hope you like them.
