The Big Guy Himself

Didn't have enough time to do him in class so I thought I would throw a picture up so that you could do him yourself if you wish.  You can guess what dies and punches were used for everything except probably the mustach.  That's right, The mustach is half of the butterfly die.  Then you have the top note of course and just circle and oval punches.  Easy as pie.   Stop back soon.

It's all about the big guy

We have Santa's pants, Santa's Hat, and Santa's boot.  This is why it is all about the big guy.    There will also be another surprise item in class.  Santa's pants are a cute way to give a few small gifts because his shoes also can store something small like candy or money.  lol   Then we have his hat that is a triangle box to put stuff in and we have his boot stocking to slide a gift card in and a candy cane or two.
Class is $20 on Dec. 10th at 11:00am at Kelann's house (368 Hickory Hill Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH) Call or email me (cardlady@roadrunner.com) to let me know if you are coming so I have enough kits.  Also if you would like extra kits let me know that as well.  Hope to see you there for a fun filled day.

The top picture is a snowman gift card holder and the bottom one I put on the fancy favor box like I did the nutcracker.  I don't know about everyone else but all I seem to get for everyone now is gift cards because all the nephews are grown same with the rest of the kids so I try to look for creative ways to give gift cards.

My new computer is constantly updating.  And now even my blog format has changed and I was having trouble posting to it.  Now I am posting but the format is different and I am not liking it.  I am working on it.  So sorry about the lag in posting.  please keep checking

So far so good

He is back.  The nutcracker is back but this time he is a gift bag.  I used the Stampin up sizzix die Fancy Favor bag.  #115965  $39.95

Are your kidding

Let's see if now that there is a picture involved, will this post.   This is the simple card design that I talked about in Fridays class.  You can just change the color and the ribbon placement to make cards look different.

Oct 15th 2011 class

These are the four cards that are doing for a class on the 15th of Oct. It was only a $10 class and for the people who really wanted to come but couldn't I made up kits and sold the kits for $10. The kits had all the pre-cut pieces and if there was any stamping that they would have done in class. I am going to start charging $2 more for the kits because there is more work involved for me because your not in class doing the work with us.

The bottom one with the ornaments is a pocket card with an insert card but you could use the pocket to put whatever you want in it like hot chocolate packet, tea bag, gift cards, and stuff like that. Hope everyone enjoys them. Thanks for stopping by.

Stocking Die

Here is another one. I will have to take a picture of all of them spread out on the table. There is a lot of them. It is fun playing with all of the combinations of colors and pattern papers. Love it!!!!

Have a great day.

Stocking Die

Here is the larger Stampin up die by sizzix. Love, Love, Love, this one. So much you can do with it. Great for gift cards. I put a star bucks coffee in this one with a stirring stick and you could include a gift card with it. Can't say enough about this one.

Stocking punch

Believe it or not but it is time to start do those Christmas cards. I am having lots of fun with stampin ups new stocking punch and die by sizzix. I have been making stockings like crazy now I just have to make some cards and things using all the stockings that I have made. lol

Hope you like them.

Backpack & Note cards

I made this for a friend of mine so that she could give it to the new principle at the her school. It is a set of note cards and they are kept in a cute little backpack. Hope she loves it.

Because I care

I think this looks better in person than the picture. I used early espresso brown and crumbcake. Than I colored the flower in pink with green leaves but I used chalks. Than some stickles for sparkle.

Teacher Gift

Sorry that I haven't posted often enough. I am a little busy creating stuff and no time to do anything else, and that includes getting on the computer to update the blog. But I promise to try and do better.

Here is a cute candy bard holder that I made for a good friend of mine who found a pattern in a magazine that she could not figure out so I made one up myself for her and designed the front of the holder to look like a pencil. I think it looks pretty good. Thanks for looking.

Snowflakes

This is a very simple card for the holidays. It is hard to see but I punched out the snowflake from the crumbcake cardstock background. Then put red DP behind and popped up the cut out snowflake. I think it looks better in person. Wish you could all see it in person. lol

Birthday Cards

I needed some birthday cards for up coming birthdays so I used the cupcake punch #121807 and the pennant punch #122361. (it is the cone for the ice cream.) The paper was the old build a bear paper. Might as well use it up. Thanks for stopping by.

Daisies

Same idea as the last post I did with the fun flowers die but this one I used the Daisies #2 die #114520

You can see the embossed background really well on this card.

Fun Flowers

I love this big shot die. I use it in my cuttlebug all the time. It is stampin ups fun flowers sizzix die #121812. The paper is stampin up but it is from the old catalog so I figured I would use it up to sell at the store. I embossed the background with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder #116824.

Fabulous Florets Set

This is a suprise card that I made for the ladies taking my class at the store. I used the scallop envelope sizzix die and of course the fab florets set. This picture isn't the best I will try to take a close up to show you that I stamped the flower twice, (once dark, once light) then cut part of the light one out and popped it up on the dark to give my flower dimention. Like the look a lot.

Fabulous Florets Set

This is my NEW favorite set from the new mini catalog, Called Fabulous Florets. I have been playing with this like crazy. The ink color is the Poppy Parade and the Pear Pizzaz. The paper was the build a bear line in the big catalog. Love that paper because it is full of small prints. If you wish to order any of these stampin up products please go here, tracymsimon.stampinup.net

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.

Lots of cards

You ladies are probably upset with me, I would be. I didn't realize that it has been over a month since I posted any cards. This time I took the pictures and never posted. Duh... So here we go. This was another card type that I made for the methodist church to give to the troops. I precut and stamped everything and we assembled 25. Hope they like them.

flower pot suckers

I have major spring fever so what better way to think spring than with flowers. The sucker is hidden in the pot and the handle is the stem for the flower. They were really easy to whip up. Hope you all like them. Thanks for stopping by, have a great springy day.

Petal cone die

I told you that I have been having way to much fun with the petal cone die. This is just a few of the projects. I did more at valentines day with heart bags and boxes. Now I did baskets for birthday, boxes of chocolates, a birthday hat full of jelly beans, and the clown card to go with it. I have also done easter carrots. Fun, Fun, Fun. Hope you enjoy them also. Thanks for being patient with me and my new computer. Still learning.

Cupcake Thank you

These are easy note cards you can make for thank you's for birthday party gifts. Or if you are doing workshops they make great quick projects.

Bowling Treats

I did 30 of these candy bar covered treats for my son's bowling team when they went to sectionals. I couldn't be there because I had to work so I wanted to show my support. I know they at least liked eating the candy.

Soldier cards

This is the card I designed for the methodist church so that they can send them with care packages to the soldiers. We will put together a total of 50. I had all the pieces cut and all the bows tied. Very simple card since we have to do so many.

Gift bag idea

This is a cute gift bag idea. I am sure there are many patterns out there but this one I tweaked to make it my own. Put the great new cupcake punch on it and instant gift bag. The papers are from the free set that you can pick out of the Sale-a-bration catalog.

New computer

Sorry everyone for not posting something sooner but I have been battling with my new computer. I love it but it is very different from the old one that I was working on so it is taking some getting used to. I think I have the entire thing set up now with the programs and it acknowledges my wi-fi and the printer. Programs are installed and running properly (I think) Now I have to figure out the picture downloads and I am golden. Just another day or so please bear with me. Fun stuff coming soon I promise.

Birthday Gifts

This is a great little gift set that I came up with. They have started calling me the BOX lady around here because I will design a box right in front of their eyes. This cute little cupcake box holds a 1.6 oz candle from bath and body works. They sell them for 3 for $5. They fit great inside. So now you have the box with the gift and a matching card to go with it. Great inexpensive gift for co-workers, neighbors, etc...

Cherry basket card

This is a twist to the birthday set and punch. I took the bottom of the cupcake and turned it into a basket and filled the basket with cherries. The cherry is part of the punch. You could also fill the basket with flowers or for valentines day fill it with hearts. The stamp set comes with a heart or you can punch out small hearts. Have I said how much I am loving this set. lol

Stocking up on birthday cards

I told you I was having fun with this set. I also needed to stock up on my birthday cards. I have 4 birthdays this month alone. I have been using scraps of paper so that I can use up some of the extra scraps that I never throw away. People who know me know that I save all my paper scraps. Hope you enjoy looking at all my creations. Thanks for stopping by. Please keep stopping by I promise to keep the ideas coming.

Stocking up on birthday cards

Everybody I have been having a blast with the new stampin up Birthday punch (#121807) and Birthday stamp set (#121982) in the new occasions mini catalog page 22.

More owls

I told you I'm on an owl kick. This one I made on top of the match box, and inside are little wrapped nuggets. Perfect little gift for a friend, neighbor, co-worker, mailman, you name it. Love her. Hope you do also. Thanks for looking. I would love feed back. I am still working on learning what my blog can do. So far I can not return emails from my blog because of a computer error but I will return an email from my seperate account.

Tree for all seasons

Lets try this again, I tried posting this and it didn't take it. This is the desk calendar that I made for everyone who ordered stampin up products from me during the month of january. There are four sides with a different tree on each side. Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall trees. Each side has three months. I really like how they turned out. I saw the idea in a magazine with a different tree stamp and thought of the stampin up set as soon as I seen it.

Tree for all seasons

Here is my tree for the Valentine season. We always do spring, summer, winter and fall, now we have valentine. I used the great pearls from Stampin up that are self adhesive. Very easy to throw together.

Owls

Owls are the popular animal right now. Here is another one for you. Great for putting small pieces of candy in. She is made on top of the pillow box. Another great stampin up die.

Goodie sack

Again a great use for the stampin up top note die, and a small lunch sack. Then you get this cute little candy bag to give to your co-workers, neighbors, friends, etc... Quick and simple. Sorry that it has been a while but I keep forgetting to take pictures of my stuff and I then hand them out and can't show you. I will get better. Thanks for stopping by.
